Nostromo Pictures, founded in 2010 by Adrián Guerra and Núria Valls, has established itself as one of the most dynamic production companies in Europe, specializing in the creation of global content with high production values. With more than 40 feature films in its trajectory, its filmography includes titles Red Lights, starring Cillian Murphy and Robert De Niro; as well as major box office hits in Spain such as Palmeras en la nieve and Los renglones torcidos de Dios.
The company is also behind the international phenomenon The Invisible Guest (Contratiempo), the successful young adult trilogy A través de mi ventana for Netflix, and the survival thriller Apocalipsis Z: El principio del fin, which reached number 1 globally on Prime Video. More recently, the family dramedy Wolfgang (Extraordinari) has become one of the highest-grossing films of the year in Spain, while The Penguin Lessons, starring Steve Coogan, has captivated international audiences.
Nostromo has just premiered the second season of The Night Manager, co-produced with The Ink Factory for the BBC and Prime Video, as well as Monitor, a horror thriller that received a strong reception at the SXSW and will be distributed by Searchlight Pictures in the United States.
Nostromo has several projects in post-production, including Black Tides, directed by Renny Harlin and starring Melissa Barrera and John Travolta; Apocalipsis Z: Parte II; The Edge of Normal, directed by Carlota Pereda; Deep Water, also directed by Renny Harlin; Cronos, directed by Fernando González Molina; The Rule of Three, directed by James Rodriguez and starring Chloe East and Thomasin McKenzie; and the international co-production Day Drinker, directed by Marc Webb and starring Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz.
The company is currently preparing the feature films A Puño descubierto, by Mario Casas, and The Last Druid, directed by William Eubank and starring Russell Crowe.
