Following the success of "Buried" (2010), directed by Rodrigo Cortés and starring Ryan Reynolds, Adrián Guerra and Núria Valls founded Nostromo Pictures, which produces numerous films, including Rodrigo Cortés' "Red Lights" (2012), starring Cillian Murphy, Sigourney Weaver and Robert de Niro; "Grand Piano"(2013), by Eugenio Mira, with Elijah Wood and script by Damien Chazelle; "Down a Dark Hall"(2018), by Rodrigo Cortés, with AnnaSophia Robb and Uma Thurman, and the Spanish hits "Palm trees in the Snow"(2015), by Fernando González Molina, or "The Invisible Guest"(2016), by Oriol Paulo.
In recent years it has released, among others, "Love Gets a Room", by Rodrigo Cortés, to great critical and public acclaim, the worldwide phenomenon of the saga "Through my window", the film hit "Crooked lines of God" directed by Oriol Paulo, Mario Casas' debut as a a director "My Loneliness Has Wings" and the miniseries "The Minions of Midas" by Mateo Gil and "Santo".
Nostromo is currently producing “El Secreto del Orfebre”, starring Mario Casas and Michelle Jenner under the direction of Olga Osorio; “Wolfgang: Extraordinari”, starring Miki Esparbé and directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera; and Sky Showtime's first original series production in Spain “Mamen Mayo”.
Coming soon will be a new film by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia (“El Hoyo”) titled “Rich Flu”, the Prime Video film “Apocalipsis Z”, directed by Carles Torrens and the new film by Rodrigo Cortés, “Escape”, executive produced by Martin Scorsese and starring Mario Casas and Anna Castillo.
